Hey everyone,

During our latest QA testing cycle for recent navigation-related updates in Appos Studio, our team identified a usability issue affecting both Main Navigation (bottom tab) buttons and Bar Buttons (top navigation). Specifically, there is currently no way to reorder icons once they’ve been added—the system locks them in the order they are initially created. As a result, navigation buttons must be added sequentially in the order you want them to appear from left to right.

We recognize how limiting this can be, especially for users iterating on UI/UX layouts during the app design process. Our development team has logged this as a priority bug and is actively exploring solutions that will allow for dynamic reordering of navigation items in future versions of Appos Studio.

In the meantime, please be mindful when configuring your app’s navigation. We strongly recommend mapping out your intended button order before adding them to avoid having to delete and recreate buttons to correct positioning.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue refining the platform. If you have any specific use cases, feedback, or ideas for how you’d like reordering to work (drag-and-drop, up/down controls, etc.), feel free to drop a comment here—we’re listening.

Thanks,

Nick (@appos_nick)
